KidzStuff Theatre has a long history of entertaining families this year is our 20th year of entertaining children in Wellington. Reviews from our most recent season of The Princess and the Pea (September – October, 2015) included:
Directed by Jonathan Price, the pace is excellent, the scripted and ad-libbed dialogue flow together and the audience plays its part with great enthusiasm. The music (lovely singing from Sabrina Martin too, particularly in the ‘Garden Lullaby’ song), sound effects and lighting add the necessary layers for a great show with excellent timing between the actors and technician James Ruscoe.
To keep our shows accessible, we continue to keep ticket prices as low as possible. We have a $7 preview, send out about 100 complimentary tickets to community groups such as the Salvation Army, the City Mission, Wellington Sexual Abuse HELP Foundation and Ronald McDonald House and offer discounted tickets to Holiday Programmes. We continue to keep general admission at $10, which is increasingly difficult. However, we are determined to maintain our low ticket prices and donations from Pelorus Trust are greatly appreciated in helping us to do this.
