Anyone Can Draw at Art Metro Art School
The Art Metro Art School started in 2007 with the simple motto ‘Anyone Can Draw’. Over the last 10 years, thousands of Cantabrians have given it a go and discovered that with a mix of desire, patience and practice they can learn to create the art they have always dreamed of.
As a result of their success the Art Metro has grown to support a learning community of over 400 people of all ages and from all walks of life. From five years to 90+ years, from Rolleston to Pegasus, our students are slowly but surely becoming Canterbury’s emerging artists.
We provide daytime and evening classes for adults Monday to Friday, and offer after school programmes and holiday activities for children. Class sizes are strictly limited allowing us to offer individual tuition within a small group setting. This is a model that works well for everyone – most of our students are continuing students who come term after term, and the way we teach allows people to work at their own level and pace, following their own artistic path.
Because of this, our classes cater well to many different levels from beginner to advanced. Our tutors are qualified professional artists rather than teachers, who share, assist and instruct, and who do not develop prescribed educational programmes for people to fit into. A person’s personal goals and desires are the most important factor in how someone receives tuition when they sign up with us.
Let our tutors help you become the artist you have always dreamed of being.
Arrange a time to visit and see our students in action, or sign up for our next term of classes. We look forward to seeing you.
